Graeae is looking for an eclectic, rebellious gang for a new anarchic folk-punk musical, from the team who brought you Reasons to be Cheerful, directed by Jenny Sealey.
This brand-new raucous musical, loosely based on Bartholemew Fair by Ben Jonson, challenges stereotypes, bends the rules and makes a noise in true Graeae style!
We’re looking for Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent actor-musicians, actor-singers and actor-signers (BSL). We are particularly interested in meeting skilled Drummers and Bassists and are keen to hear from other instrumentalists too!
How to apply
If this is you, send us a self-tape or an audio file (if that is more accessible) with at least two of the following, no more than 5 minutes in total:
- Singing or signing a song
- Playing your instrument/s
- Reciting/signing a short contemporary piece of text

The auditions are on Saturday 5 September at Graeae, Bradbury Studios, 138 Kingsland Rd, London E2 8DY.
Planned R&D dates are 5 – 8 October in London (if you are not available that week don’t let that stop you applying!)
You must be able to commit to an eleven-week touring contract; with rehearsals starting on 4 January 2027 and the show opening at Derby Theatre on 5 February, touring regionally to the 27 March 2027. You need to be comfortable performing up to six shows a week with some two show days.
We are an ITC Fair Work Approved Employer and will be using these contracts on this project.
