As a team we have made the decision to close our X account on Monday, December 2. The platform has become increasingly toxic, with a lack of accountability for harmful content, the deliberate spread of misinformation, and the actions of Elon Musk in shaping and influencing political discourse.

At Graeae, we will always push for greater inclusion and access for Deaf, Disabled, and neurodivergent people. This is clearly not compatible with this particular social media platform. As a result, we’ve been looking towards alternatives to X. We have decided to open an account on Bluesky. We hope to rebuild an online community focussed on art, advocacy, and amplifying disabled voices with kindness and solidarity that is no longer possible on X.

We hope to use our Bluesky account to share important information about the company and our productions. The feed will also create a space for our community to come together and discuss the issues that are impacting us. Ultimately, we want this move to Bluesky to enable us to have conversations with our wider community in a way that we are not able to do on other social media platforms.
