A collection of rehearsed readings, curated by Susan Croft, Jenny Sealey for Graeae and the National Theatre
To mark the 100th anniversary of (some) women in the UK gaining the right to vote, the National Theatre is marking this historic moment through a series of rehearsed readings, talks and screenings.
A new play developed in collaboration with the National Theatre, And Others brings to life the voices and stories of women who have been lost to history, who fought for suffrage but whose stories have been left untold, together with the voices of D/deaf and disabled women living today. Directed by Jenny Sealey and performed by an all-female cast. This is a rehearsed reading as part of the NT’s Courage Everywhere festival. The reading will be BSL interpreted and captioned.
Courage Everywhere is a season of work whereby world-class directors will bring to life these plays on themes of suffrage, courage and the fight for political equality in the UK and around the world.
