“Hi everyone, Chris Campion here. Just a note to say what having an audio tour means for a visually impaired person. Usually when I come to a job, I will have an access worker with me, but rarely do we get the chance because we are there to do a job, of actually doing a proper tour and finding out what’s in every cupboard, what’s available and all the resources that might be useful for me to know about.

So having this ahead of time means that I can really understand what I’m walking into and gives me the kind of independence and ability to work by my own rules and my own energy that really makes a huge difference to my energy and my ability to stay focused and creative.

The idea that with a guide like this I can just go into the kitchen and make myself a cup of coffee from scratch or heat up my dinner, is so incredibly important to me and gives me a level of independence I don’t usually get when I’m trying to be my creative best and stay task focused.
