In 2023, I took part in the Festival of Rights at Rich Mix, and I also created a lockdown video titled Love and Justice. Then in 2024, I began my role as a Young Associate Artist with Graeae. I quickly realised that working as a facilitator is a completely different experience compared to being part of the Young Company, where I was usually performing as an actor. I learned that performing on stage is a very great experience that actors can make mistakes and the audience not recognise the mistake and is fun.

The Festival of Rights show was a production we did in 2023. It was a show about making a voice about our human rights and making sure people can understand the hard times of not being heard. So it was a great production we did at my time with Graeae. The other things we did was, The Anchors and The Sails. There were a group of people, some of them met each other, some of them met for the first time all stranded on an island trying to come to peace. The rehearsals were 6-8 weeks planning to make the show happen.

We chose our own characters in the rehearsals and we came up with the idea what if these characters met up on an island using time capsules. The main focus of the show was to come together and retell your own individual stories. I was playing a character called Sam Owen who was a writer, and wrote the book called The history of Himji the soldiers Bob and Sam.

My favourite moments with Graeae was The Festivals of Rights. It has been a ride being with Graeae first as a rollette, and now working here it really has been a journey these past 11 years. In the future, I would like to make film productions with Graeae and try new things in the theatre space.
