Graeae's story continues...
2012 marks Graeae’s busiest year to date, with the company presenting a number of productions as part of the cultural olympiad.
February- April/September:

In the early part of the year, a revival of Graeae’s smash-hit Reasons to be Cheerful went on a massive tour before appearing at the 2012 Paralympic Opening Ceremony. This tour culminated in a performance at Queen Elizabeth Hall at the Southbank Centre as part of Unlimited Festival 2012.
June-August:

As part of the 2012 London Cultural Festival, Graeae presented Prometheus Awakes, a co-production with La Fura Dels Baus. Featuring an 8-meter-tall figure of Prometheus, and mass aerial choreography, this production wowed international audiences visiting London.
Graeae’s words: “You will feel the earth move and the sky explode in this epic re-interpretation of the famous Greek myth. Created by Graeae, the boldly inventive disabled-led theatre company and Catalan masters of visual magnificence La Fura dels Baus, Prometheus Awakes is proudly presented in the year of the London 2012 Paralympic Games.”
August 29th:

The Paralympic Opening Ceremony which was co-directed by Jenny Sealey and Bradley Hemmings is aired. The ceremony was a triumph featuring the cast of Reasons to be Cheerful, Nicola Miles-Wildin, Ian McKellen, Mat Fraser, and many more members of the Graeae collective.
Graeae’s Words: “On 29 August 2012, the world watched as Deaf and disabled people quite literally took centre stage in the spectacular and potentially game-changing Opening Ceremony for the London 2012 Paralympic Games. We couldn’t have been prouder of what our Artistic Director Jenny Sealey and her co-director Bradley Hemmings achieved, and the cast of Reasons to be Cheerful performing Spasticus Autisticus to a worldwide audience of two-billion people was an incredible statement.”
November- December:
- The Rhinestone Rollers present a production titled, Sequins and Snowballs.
