A Naked productions and Graeae collaboration 2021

Night of the Living Flatpacks is an audio drama developed between Naked productions and Graeae Theatre Company. Developed with the support of experienced radio dramatist Sarah Daniels, Night of the Living Flatpacks is a feel-good new series about wheelchair using Stella, homeless Ali and anxious Erica, who unexpectedly come together when they get locked in at Sharewoods, a home furnishings store. During this memorable evening, they’ll make new friends, discover what independence means, find love and learn to challenge perceptions.

The series is made up of five 15 minute episodes. It was broadcast on over 20 UK wide community radio stations, from Cornwall to the Highlands in November 2021 and is funded by Audio Content Fund.

Graeae and Naked Productions have been working together to make audio drama written and performed by Deaf and disabled creatives since 2017, which has been commissioned by BBC Radio 4 and Audio Content Fund.

The writers

The series is written by Shahid Iqbal Khan, Michael Southan, Kathryn Golding, Anita Karla Kelly and Leanne Allen – all exciting new Deaf and disabled writers. They first worked together on Connections, a Naked/Graeae  radio production for community radio and BBC Radio 4 in 2020.
