We are excited to invite groups to join Graeae’s participatory arts community for FREE group workshops on our UK tour of The Paradis Files.
The Paradis Files is Graeae’s new ground-breaking opera exploring the life of Maria Theresia Von Paradis, an extraordinary disabled musician largely forgotten by modern audiences. We’d love your help to celebrate her life and the lives of all disabled artists.
In these free 3-hour workshops, you’ll join a theatre director and a designer to delve into a celebration of disabled artists throughout history and stories of unsung heroes in your community. You’ll create your own accessible art pieces which will form part of public art installation travelling alongside the tour and as an online exhibition. When the tour is complete, you’ll be presented with your framed piece, providing a lasting memento of your time with Graeae.
This opportunity is open to all groups aged 16+ and includes exclusive offers for you to attend a local performance of Graeae’s new production.
Please get in quick to secure your date! We can deliver workshops in your own group setting or arrange a free space for you. We work closely with groups to ensure every experience with us is accessible and designed bespoke for all participants.
Contact Rebecca Buckle, Project Leader rebecca@graeae.org for more information. In your email, please include a brief introduction of your group and what days/times work best.
