This week, it’s Kellan Frankland, writer of How Do You Make a Cup of Tea? Kellan started her Graeae journey on the Ensemble training programme, graduating in 2016, before going onto star opposite Kathryn Hunter in the acclaimed Graeae and Royal Exchange Theatre production of The House of Bernarda Alba directed by Jenny Sealey. More recently, she has been through Graeae’s year-long writer development programme Write to Play.

What is your current state of mind?
Argh! Sums it up.
What is your favourite occupation?
Writing and acting – luckily what I’m doing.
Who is your favourite hero of fiction?
The Doctor.
Whose are your heroes in real life?
I don’t think in real life there is anyone I’d say is “my hero” because it’s unhelpful to put people on a pedestal.
On what occasions do you lie?
I never lie…oh wait.
